Mrs. Ellen Morgan Bailey

Obituary

Mrs. Ellen Morgan Bailey, 86, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Atlanta, Ga., on Jan. 27, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. George E. Morgan of Senoia, Ga. She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey M. Hicks, and her son, Harold E. Bailey Jr., "Ed."

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold E. Bailey Sr. She leaves two daughters, Cynthia B. George (Bill), Camille B. Patton (John); and daughter-in-law, Edlene Hiles Bailey.

She is also survived by six granddaughters, Heather Page (Robert), Kristin Melton (Kasey), Morgan B. Floyd (Cody), Kathryn Bailey, Rebecca Bailey, and Sophie Cook; great-granddaughter, Keelin Melton, all of whom she lovingly referred to as her "GrandAngels."

A private family celebratory memorial will be held at The Hartwell First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. on Feb. 11. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2187 Northlake Pkwy., Suite 116, Building 9, Tucker, GA 30084, 770-621-9800.
