Mr. Dan Joseph Driver

Mr. Dan Joseph Driver, age 72, of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away Saturday morning, July 12, 2014.

He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of the late Jim T. Driver and the late Irma G. Crews Driver.

He was retired from Georgia Power, with over 30 years as a foreman in the Boiler Turbine Department.

He enjoyed farming and baseball, and he was an avid race car fan and an artist. He was a member of the Whitesburg Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathryn Pesansky Driver; children, Rhonda Meeks of Cedartown, Georgia, Dana Haney of Douglasville, Georgia, and Keri Driver of Whitesburg; brother, Edward Driver and his wife, Mary Ann, of Whitesburg; and four grandchildren, Alec Lee, Kyle Haney, Nicholas Cooley and Peyton Ward. In keeping with his wishes, the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, from 5 until 8 p.m.
