Mr. Gary W. Underwood

Mr. Gary W. Underwood, age 57, of Newnan, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014. He was born in Okinawa, Japan, on Oct. 12, 1956, to the late William Edward Underwood and Mary Rose Underwood. Mr. Underwood was a retired master sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and worked for Delta Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. He was preceded in death by his son, Kristian Underwood.

Mr. Underwood is survived by his loving wife, Della Underwood; sons, Erik Underwood, Frank Curtis Lanier and Michael Jeffery Lanier; nine grandchildren; brother, Robert Underwood; sisters, Debbie Morrow and Lisa Underwood.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to your local animal shelter or your favorite charity.
