Mrs. Jessie Mae Loftin

Mrs. Jessie Mae Loftin of Newnan passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was under hospice care at Rose Mont nursing home in Stone Mountain. She was born March 3, 1928, in Gainesville, Ga., to the late C.R and Lula Smith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C.J. Loftin; sisters, Annie Vinyard, Ruth Gillispie and Sara Chastain, all of Gainesville.

The funeral is Friday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. The visitation is noon until service time on Friday, Jan. 31.

She is survived by her children, Stanley Loftin of Newnan and Susan Loftin of Decatur; grandsons, Allen Loftin (Kelly) of Newnan, Andy Loftin (Kate) of Gurley Alabama; greatgrandchildren, Harrison Loftin, Jackson Loftin, Pierce Loftin, March and Willa Loftin; sisters, Pauline Clark and Maxine Griffin of Gainesville.

Miss Jessie as she was known to most, retired from Kmart Corp. Everywhere she went, people remembered her from Kmart and her warm smile. She enjoyed walks with neighbors, her flowers and working in her yard. She was also a life time member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.
