Marion Stewart Robbins

A lifetime of selfless devotion to caring for others came to an end on the morning of Sept. 30, 2013, as Marion Robbins became an angel in God's Heavenly Kingdom.

Marion Stewart Robbins was born June 10, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts. She is survived by her children Craig Robbins and wife Catrina, Kathi Sturm and husband Marshall, and her brother Henry Genaske.

Anyone having the honor of knowing and loving Marion was blessed to be touched and affected by her presence in their lives. She gave selflessly of herself and her time, and lived to only serve others and see the joy in their faces.

Her pride and joy has for many years been her grandchildren: Brittani Robbins, Alex Upchurch, Jerrica Story, Travis, Ryan, Joshua, Kayla and Marshall Sturm II, and her great-grandchildren: Brian, Daniel, Corey, and Alanna Robbins.

She regarded close friends’ children and grandchildren as her own as well, lovingly being referred to as "Granny M." Condolences can be expressed online at www.mckoon.com .

In lieu of fresh flowers, please send potted flowering plants to the funeral home — anyone close to Marion knew of her avid love for gardening, and her children wish to continue this practice to honor her memory.

The memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Marsh officiating.

McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan, GA, 30263; 770-253-4580.
