Mr. David A. Nichols

David A. Nichols, 71, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at his home in Franklin. He was born October 5, 1941 in Troup County, GA to the late I.J. Nichols & Audrey Burgess Nichols.

David was a member of Pleasant Hills Baptist Church and Chattahoochee Lodge #61 F&AM. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.

The funeral is Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Coker & Pastor Don Arnell officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation is Sunday evening between 6:00-8:00 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA.

Survivors include children, Greg Nichols & wife Tammy of Rome, Chris Nichols of Carrollton, Reggie Nichols & wife Amanda of Carrollton, Laurie Collins & husband Bennie of Carrollton, Bo Nichols of Franklin; sister, Doris Mims & husband Ken of Newnan; Donnie Nichols & wife Sandra of Douglasville, Paul Nichols of Perry; numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special step-grandchildren, Dustin & David Hatley.
