Mr. A. Larry Hyatt
Mr. A. Larry Hyatt, 65, of Lithia, FL, passed away Aug. 13, 2013, after a tragic accident at his home. He was born in Newnan, GA, Feb. 20, 1948, to the late Glenn and Ora Hyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death b his brother-in-law, Jerry A. Moore.
Mr. Hyatt left Newnan in 1967 to join the military. After four years in the Air Force, he made his home in Tampa, FL. Mr. Hyatt was employed by General Telephone Co. in Tampa and retired at the age of 50. In 2004, he was employed by Verizon as engineer of fiber optic cable doing contract work. Mr. Hyatt’s hobbies were horses and scuba diving. He was a certified scuba instructor and co-owner of a dive shop in Tampa. Mr. Hyatt has been diving off the coasts of Guam, Bahamas, Key West, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Delia Hyatt of Lithia, FL; step-daughter, Courtney Adcock of Tampa; sister, Dura H. Moore of Newnan; aunts, Irene H. Brown, Pauline H. Parker of Newnan, Flora R. Newman of Mt. Pleasant, NC; uncle, Bervin Hyatt of Newnan; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins.
There will be a memorial service in Coweta County, GA, on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Arnco Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Hyatt’s pastor, Rev. Skipper Calder, from Lithia, will conduct the memorial. Mr. Hyatt was a member of the Cowboy Up Ministry in Lithia.
