Mrs. Ruby Hall Bridges

Mrs. Ruby Hall Bridges, age 74, slipped gently from her earthly life into her eternal home in the afternoon hours of Monday, Aug. 26, 2013. She was born in Coweta County on Oct. 26, 1938, and was the daughter of the late James Arthur and Mary Emmie Shirey Hall.

Ruby used her natural sense of style in the operation of her business in Newnan, R. Bridges, a fashion store for women. She was a longtime member of White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Robert Luckie "Bobby" Bridges of Newnan, and her children, Robert L. Bridges Jr. and Jill Bridges Taylor and her husband Emory Lee.

Her surviving siblings are Erlene Jackson, Hazel Baker and Margaret Bell.

Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. The graveside funeral service will follow at noon at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Tom Shogar officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Oak ARP Church or The American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mckoon.com.
