Mr. John Dennis Jones, age 54, of Sharpsburg, GA, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 18, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 31, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Earl and Norma Jones who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy L. Jones; a sister, Deborah (Jay) Kennedy; mother-in-law, Rose M. Wiggins; brother-in-law, Tommy (Debbie) Wiggins; and several other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Jones; and father-in-law, Herschel Wiggins.

John enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, and working with his hands. He loved his friends and family, and most of all his wife, "Slick."
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, at First Baptist Church of Haralson with Rev. Drew Ross and Mr. Timothy Gowens officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. John will be placed in state at the church at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel today, Wednesday, 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
