Ms. Clara Irene Brown Fraley, 92, of Moreland, Ga., died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Corinth Road Assisted Living. She was born July 23, 1920, in Montgomery County, Maryland, to the late Maurice Brown Sr. and Lena Burris Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husbands, Harvey Fraley, Elbert “Bud” White; son, Harvey Fraley Jr.; and grandson, Robert Fraley.
Ms. Brown lived in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for many years before moving to the Bay Area of California.
She later moved to Georgia to be near her son and his family. Ms. Brown was affectionately known as the “hugging lady.”
The memorial service is Saturday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at White Oak Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2976 Gordon Road, Senoia, GA, with Rev. Tom Shoger officiating.

Survivors include son, Robert Fraley & wife Peg of Moreland; daughter, Sharon (Larry) Sullivan of Minneapolis; sister, Betty Smith of California; grandchildren, Kim, Jill, Susan, Michael, Natalie, Ken, Jim, Margaret, Tom, Debbie, Scott; bonus-grandchildren, John, Freddie, Heather; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
