Mr. Roy Edward Tinsley, 86, of Senoia, GA, passed away Feb. 1, 2013, at Wesley Woods of Newnan.
Mr. Tinsley was the son of the late William B. and Margaret (White) Tinsley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Tinsley; son, Wayne Tinsley; grandson, Tinsley Hope Ball; sisters, Katherine Haynie, Lucy Harold; and brother, Jerry Tinsley.
Mr. Roy was a lifelong resident of Senoia, a major landowner and devoted member of the Senoia community. He was in the Army and was part of the Motor Convoy, and a member of the Board of Directors at Farmer’s & Merchant Bank from 1985 to 2001.
He is survived by his children, Angela Tinsley Ball, Michael & wife Marie Tinsley, Gloria Tinsley Smoot, Margaret & husband Dale Bunn; grandchildren, Tyler Tinsley, Chris Smoot, Jon Smoot, Roy Dooley Bunn and Austin Ryan Bunn. He is also survived by his brother, William Tinsley, and sister, Patsy Simmons.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 3 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, GA from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Whitlock officiating. Burial will follow at Senoia City Cemetery.
