Mr. Greg Nettles, 56, a Clayton County, Georgia, resident, died Dec. 25, 2012, at Southern Regional Medical Center after days of extensive medical treatment. Greg was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 9, 1956.
Greg is survived by his mother, Orma Woods Maddox and her husband, Wilbur; his sister, Stacy Nettles; his only son, Troy Nettles and his wife, Kim, and their son, Jayden, Greg’s only grandson; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Wyman Nettles of Paragould, Arkansas.
He received an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology from Southern Arkansas University Tech (Southwest Technical Institute).
Greg worked for several years at the Valvoline plant in College Park, Georgia. He later operated his own shop, Greg’s Garage, in Sharpsburg, Georgia. He specialized in exotic cars, racing motors, and had a special interest in the Porsche 928.
A memorial service is scheduled on Jan. 19, 2013, for 2 p.m. at Atlanta Regional Airport, 7 Falcon Drive, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
