Mrs. Lena M. Smith, age 85, of Palmetto, GA, passed away Thursday at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Ivey Lawson McRary and the late Loula Kirby. She was a loving homemaker and an avid seamstress. Mrs. Smith was also a member of Palmetto Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is the widow of the late Bob Smith. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Angelina Smith, five brothers, and a sister.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Mike Smith of Palmetto; daughters, Gail Brazier and Susan Belcher of Palmetto; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Tommy Hamilton and Joey and Steve Lloyd of Palmetto; sister, Wanda Walsh of Rhodhiss, NC; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services for Lena M. Smith will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Buddy Waldron will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, January 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holly Hill Funeral Home, 431 SW Broad Street, Fairburn, GA 30213.
