Miss Alexa Angel Comfort, age 4, of Newnan, Georgia, joined the angels in Heaven on Jan. 3, 2013.
Alexa was born on Sept. 7, 2008, in Riverdale, Georgia. She is survived by her mother, Sandy Comfort; sister, Shari Happl (Jim); brothers, Rick McElroy (Roberta), Bob McElroy (Frances), Mark McElroy (Joani), and sister Jacqui Decker (Mike). Alexa is also survived by her godmothers, Jo Warrington and Jesse Garcia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alexa was born with Wolf Hirsch horn syndrome and battled numerous medical conditions throughout her short life.
She never complained, even during her numerous hospitalizations at CHOA at Egleston. Alexa enjoyed being held, talked to, read to and, most of all, listening to music.
Everywhere she went, she touched hearts and lives.Alexa attended Community Christian Church in Sharpsburg.
She was in Mrs. Betsy Severino’s 4-K class at Welch Elementary School. A celebration of Alexa’s life will take place at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral will take place in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. with pastor Steve Clark of Community Christian Church officiating.
