Howard “Rob” Robbins, 64, of Newnan, GA died Saturday, December 29, 2012.
He was born April 7, 1948 to the late Howard King Robbins & Mabel Aileen McClure Robbins. He grew up living in several cities throughout Texas working in the oil field.
Rob was a Veteran having served a tour in Vietnam. It was in the Army that he was given the nickname Rob, which he went by the rest of his life. He enjoyed fishing as his favorite pastime. He worked as a salesman and made many friends around the country through his work with Queen Wood Products at the International Horse Park in Conyers, GA.
The funeral was Monday, December 31, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Kevin Couch & Edgar Reese officiating. The visitation was Monday afternoon between 2:00-4:00 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St, Newnan.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Lucy Duncan Robbins, his beloved Australian Shepherd, R.J.; sisters, Sue Ann Bingham & husband Larac, Patricia Steward; brothers, Doug Robbins & wife Becky, Dwayne Robbins & his wife Becky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
