Mr. Robert A. Davis
Mr. Robert A. Davis, age 93, of Newnan, GA, died on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1919, in Carroll County, GA, to the late Robert E. Lee Davis and Ludie Wright Davis.
Funeral arrangements are by McKoon Funeral Home at 38 Jackson Street in Newnan. The family will have visitation on Thursday, Dec. 20 between 6 and 8 p.m.
The funeral service will be on Friday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Freeman and Reverend Searcy Jackson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Lucille Davis, in 2011. He is survived by his three sons, Bobby Davis of Newnan, Larry Davis and his wife Faye of Franklin, Danny Davis and his wife Betty of Newnan.
His grandchildren are Leigh Ann Templeton and her husband Rick of Franklin, Jamie Davis and his wife Stacy of Franklin, Chad Davis and his wife Carla of Newnan.
There are eight great-grandchildren and many members of his extended family.
