Funeral services for Mr. Willie C. Horsley will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. from Zion Hill Baptist Church, with remains placed instate at 11:30 p.m. W.J. Johnson, pastor, will be eulogist. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
Willie C. Horsley of Newnan, Georgia, passed peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, with his loved ones by his side. Mr. Horsley was a devoted father and dearly loved his daughters, grandsons and family. He served in the Unites States Army during the World War II era. In his early years, he was employed with William L. Bonnell of Newnan, Ga. He was owner and operator of Eastside Cleanup & Detail Shop of Newnan for more than 29 years. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church of Newnan.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly DeLayne Horsley-Pender and Thelma Jean Canty of Newnan; four grandsons, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Pender (Holly) of Palmetto, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Kelby Canty (Cheryl) of Dallas, Ga., Mr. and Mrs Derrick Canty (Kimberly) and Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Canty (Nicole) of Fairburn, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Aden and Eli Canty; one great-granddaughter, Payton Canty; two special granddaughters, Rita and Hope; two brothers, Robert L. Horsley of Charleston, South Carolina, Horace Horsley of Newnan; four sisters, Christola Partridge and Helen Berry of Newnan, Ga., Annette Meadows and Bettye Gibbons of Atlanta; one step-sister, Annie Lou Rudley of Newnan; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Two brothers preceded him in death, Carl and Johnny Horsley.
