Mrs. Opal Yates Beck
Mrs. Opal Yates Beck, 90, of Newnan, died at her residence on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
She was born in Carroll County on Oct. 13, 1922, to the late Jerome Yates and Lucille Lewis Yates. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Ertis Beck.
Surviving are her daughters, Faith Brooks (David) of Macon and Tammy R. Beck of Newnan; sisters, Betty Jean Satterfield and Jewell Walls, both of LaGrange, and Selma Lanier of Newnan; grandchildren, Joseph Brooks and Tiffany Brooks; two great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowden. The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, 4-8 p.m.
