• Mrs. Opal Yates Beck, 90, of Newnan, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowden. The family will receive friends at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home today, Friday, from 4-8 p.m.
• Richard Carl Borne, 65, of Newnan died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Regency Hospital of South Atlanta in East Point. Arrangements will be announced by Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home, Inc.
• Ms. Shannah Nikole Kendrick, 30, of Grantville died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. A memorial service will be Saturday, Dec. 15 at noon at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
• Rufus Reese, 67, of Greenville, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Warm Springs Medical Center. Arrangements will be announced by Sellers-Smith Funeral Home Inc.
