Mr. Mike Hall of Sharpsburg, GA, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2012. Mike was a Federal Aviation Administration radar engineer and had worked for the FAA for 25 years.
Mike was a 1967 graduate of Ewing Halsell High School in Vinita, OK, where he lettered in baseball and football. He attended Oklahoma University for a short period before joining the U.S Marine Corps in 1969. He served with the Marines, both domestic and overseas, for 8 years and left the Marines as a SSGT in 1977. Mike attended Rodgers State College in Claremore, OK, before graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a BS in engineering. Mike then joined the FAA, where he has been employed since 1987.
Mike was born in Tulsa, OK, to the late Lewis Raleigh Hall and Myrtle Wagner Hall. He is also preceded in death by his older brother, Gary Hall, who was killed in Vietnam.
Mike is survived by his wife, Laura Hall; two sisters, Diane Thrash (Rick) and Nancy Hall of Mission, TX; and his twin brother, Mark Hall (Terry) of DeKalb, MS. He is also survived by his daughter, Heather Federline (Robert); and Laura’s children, Autumn Beashore (Chad) of Kansas City, KS, and Grant Owens of Glen Carbon, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren, Makayla and Madelyn Federline, Tyson, Brook, and Cody Beashore.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Cuningham officiating.
