Mr. Billie Lanier O’Neal, age 80, native of Grantville, GA, and a resident of Foley, AL, passed away Friday, Oct. 26, 2012.
Mr. O’Neal was a U.S. Air Force (TSGT Ret.) member of the Air Force Association and charter member of the Air Force National Monument in Washington, D.C. He went on to be an air marshal with Pan Am Airlines.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Williams; a son, Carlos O’Neal; three brothers; a sister; and his parents, Roy and Mae Dell O’Neal.
Mr. O’Neal is survived by his wife, Mary E. O’Neal of Foley; daughter, Janet M. O’Neal of Foley; sister, Betty M. Perry of Newnan, GA; brother, Donald O’Neal of Newnan, GA; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
Interment will follow at 1:15 p.m. in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
