Mr. Rodney Walter Williams, 61, died peacefully on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in Macon, Ga., surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 8 at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dr. Jay Harris officiating.
Burial will be private. Family will greet friends between 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to Stratford Academy, 6010 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Mr. Williams was a native of Newnan, Ga., and was predeceased by his father, J.T. Williams Jr. He was a graduate of Newnan High School and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was a member of Kappa Alpha Order.
Mr. Williams was also a member of Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, the Appraisal Institute, and Idle Hour Country Club. He was a partner of Williams, Rabun & Associates and a former member of the Downtown Macon Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Kennedy Williams of Macon; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Williams of Atlanta; son, Spencer Kennedy Williams of Macon; mother, Willene Johnson Williams of Newnan, GA; sister, Debbie Williams Stripling (Jim) of Newnan, GA; brother-in-law, Mike Kennedy of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
