Mr. Grady Nathaniel Pate
Mr. Grady Nathaniel Pate, age 66, of Newnan, GA, died at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012. He was born in LaGrange, GA on Aug. 5, 1946, to the late Henry G. Pate and Mary Rushing Pate.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a son, Richard Turner. Mr. Pate served his country in the United States Marines and later was a self-employed painter.
He loved NASCAR racing, fishing and baseball. Surviving are his sons, Grady Pate, Timbo (Violet) Pate, Greg Pate, and Jimmy Wright; daughters, Debbie Meherg (Harold) and Tammy Orourke; brother, Robert Putman; sisters, Earlene Strickland and Merlene Thaxton; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Sargent Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Friday, 6-8 p.m.
