Mr. Lee Roy Lane III
Mr. Lee Roy Lane III, age 47, of Franklin, GA, died at his residence on Sept. 25, 2012. He was born in Panama City, Florida on July 17, 1965, to Lee Roy Lane Jr. and Mary Tenney Lane.
Lee resided on Ware Road in Coweta County for most of his life before relocating to Heard County. He loved nature and being outdoors. If you couldn’t find Lee, you knew he was either hunting, fishing or spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. He wanted everyone to know about Jesus and he didn’t mind telling them, whether it was on the side of the road, in the hospital or at church. Lee seemd to always be willing to go that extra mile to minister no matter what, when or where. He loved everyone and will truly be missed.
Mr. Lane was predeceased by his mother and is survived by his wife, Barbara Lane of Franklin; father, Lee Roy Lane Jr. of Newnan; brother, Stephen Lane of Franklin; sisters, Cindy (Marvin) Penick of Mountain Park, GA, Ginny (Larry) Tinsley of Jasper, GA, and Sandy Lane-Herndon of Franklin.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Grace Community Fellowship on Roscoe Road with Rev. Carl Green officiating.
