Mrs. Nancy Helen Harris
Mrs. Nancy Helen Harris, age 96, of Turin, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Southland Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on May 17, 1916, in Coweta County to the late George and Lena (Johnson) Shell. She was a member of Turin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph H. Harris.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan, Ga. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at Turin Baptist Church with Rev. John McDuffie Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Turin Memorial Gardens. She was a longtime pianist at the church. She had a bachelor’s degree and was a teacher for 35 years.

Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Harris, Will Harris, Nath Harris, Tom Harris, Drew Higgins, Cole Harris, Jase Higgins and Alan Starr.
She is survived by her sons, George (Gail) Harris and Ben Harris, both of Turin, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Alan) Starr, Mike (Kristin) Harris, Will Harris, Nath (Tiffany) Harris, Tom (Emily) Harris; great-grandchildren, Drew Higgins, Paige Higgins, Jasen Higgins, Cole Harris, Gracie Harris, Elise Harris, Kate Harris, Grant Harris, Luke Harris, Alanna Starr, Jillian Harris and James Starr.
