• Marvin Ray Dukes, 77, of Carrollton, GA, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel, Carrollton. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, GA. The family received friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m.
• Roger Dale Harper, 65, of Newnan, Ga., died at his residence on Sept. 1, 2012. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, Newnan. Burial followed at Pitts Cemetery.

• William Hoyt Whisenhunt Sr., 66, of Riddleville, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Wednesday evening.
