The Georgia DOT says the Highway 34 Bypass widening project & its contractors will get a 6-month extension to complete the job. Will the GDOT complete the project in 6 months or will it need another extension?

There will be work on the Highway 54 repaving in southeast Coweta County early next week, but work on the intersection project in Senoia will be delayed until after Christmas.
There will be northbound lane closures on State Route 54 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Beginning at the Meriwether County Line, SR 54 northbound will have daily single lane closures.
The Georgia DOT has scheduled a single right lane closure as crews continue to resurface SR 54. Delays are expected in the area as work occurs. A pilot car will be utilized to assist motorists traveling through this work zone.
The lane closures on State Route 16 in Senoia resume after the Christmas holidays.
Work will be 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The project is at the intersection of SR 16/Wells Street, Broad and Luther Bailey Road in the city of Senoia.
The Georgia DOT has scheduled periodic right lane closures and will be utilizing a flag man as crews work to improve this intersection. Delays are expected in the area as work occurs.
