By Elizabeth Melville

The Newnan Times-Herald

The unidentified female victim in a two-vehicle accident in Senoia on Thursday morning remains in unknown condition at an Atlanta hospital.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Georgia Highway 85 and Georgia Highway 16, according to Senior Trooper K.J. Searcy of the Georgia State Patrol Newnan Post.

A tractor-trailer truck driven by an unidentified man was traveling south on Highway 85. He attempted to turn left onto Highway 16. However, the woman driver of an Acura Integra was headed north on Highway 85 and the 18-wheeler turned into the Acura, according to the trooper.

The victim was trapped in her car for a time. Once she was extricated, she was transported by helicopter ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Searcy.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt. No other information was available
