Westmoreland to speak to supporters Monday

By Winston Skinner

The Times-Herald

U.S. Rep. Lynn A. Westmoreland (R-Grantville) will be in his home county Monday, and area residents will have the opportunity to hear him speak and to ask him questions.

Westmoreland will be speaking to the Coweta County Republican Women Monday at the public meeting room at Publix at Thomas Crossroads. Westmoreland plans to be at Publix from noon-1 p.m.

His remarks are expected to take about 20 minutes. He then will take questions from those present.

Audrey Bray, a CCRP member, said the public is invited to attend. "We'd love to have as many people as possible," she said.

Westmoreland, who formerly served in the Georgia legislature for 12 years, entered Congress in January 2005. In Congress, Westmoreland serves on the transportation and infrastructure, small business and government oversight and reform committees.

Newnan attorney Stephen Camp is running as a Democrat against Westmoreland in the November General Election.
