An accident victim from a two-car collision on the Highway 34 Bypass Wednesday afternoon remains in unknown condition after her vehicle flipped several times.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., a Chrysler Town and Country van pulled out of Lakeshore Parkway onto the Highway 34 Bypass -- between Lower Fayetteville Road and Poplar Road -- and didn't see a Toyota Sequoia traveling in the direction of Turkey Creek Road, according to Trooper Russell Clark of the Georgia State Patrol.
The van clipped the rear quarter panel of the Sequoia, causing it to flip at least three times, maybe four, according to the trooper.
Emergency responders had to cut the unidentified female driver from her vehicle. She was conscious with some visible injuries at the scene. She was transported by ground ambulance to Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
The passengers in the van -- a mother and two small children -- were uninjured, according to Clark. The driver was cited for failure to yield when entering the roadway.
Traffic was rerouted for approximately a half hour.
