The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department and Manchester Police Department are searching for two individuals wanted in connection with an assault on two GBI agents.
Law enforcement is seeking the assistance of the public to locate Deontoni Kabah Brown, 25, and Darius Cordez Harris, 21, according to a release from the GBI Thursday afternoon.
On Wednesday, at approximately 6 p.m., two GBI agents were conducting a drug investigation in Manchester, Ga. The agents had contacted Kanarzay Montez Prather, 21, at a residence at 913 Ira Parks Way. During the contact with Prather, additional individuals wearing ski masks and armed with firearms confronted the agents. Gunfire was exchanged between the armed individuals and the agents. Neither of the two agents were injured.
Prather was taken into custody at the scene. The other armed individuals fled the area. Robez Owens, 22, also of Manchester, was later arrested in connection with the assault.
Authorities are continuing their search for Brown and Harris. Warrants have been issued for both individuals. If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Brown and/or Harris, contact the GBI at 706-565-7888, the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Department at 706-672-4489, or the Manchester Police Department at 706-846-3155.
These individuals should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
