Troup County Authorities Searching For Missing Teen

Ledia King, or Dede, 15, was last seen on June 16 in Troup County.


The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for a week.

Ledia King, who also goes by Dede, was last seen around 2 p.m. on June 16 walking on the 800-block of Rock Mills Road in Troup County, according to the sheriff’s office. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, sandals and a black back pack with “SHAW” written on the back. She may have also been carrying her purse and a hair flattening iron.

The sheriff’s office described King as biracial – black and Hispanic. She is about five feet, seven inches tall, weighs around 160 pounds and her head was last seen entirely shaved. She also has a burn on the back of her right leg.
