A teenager was allegedly shot in the foot by an unknown suspect while walking down Richard Allen Drive in Newnan the evening of Aug. 29, according to Newnan Police reports.
Christopher Sequoia Coleman told Newnan Police Officer S.E. Kilgore that two males in a black, two-door Honda with dark-tinted windows and a Meriwether County tag approached him while he was heading north around 7 p.m. He said the passenger lowered his window, held out a silver pistol, shot him in the right foot and drove away.
The victim could not provide a description of the shooter, police say.
The following unrelated incidents were reported by the Newnan Police Dept:
* Jose Juan Ramirez-Cano reported to Officer Phil Hines Aug. 5 that he and Crispin Barjas were robbed at gunpoint and assaulted with a weapon by an unknown male at Westgate Park Lane. According to the victim, the suspect struck him in the head with a handgun repeatedly when he would not comply with robbery demands. Barjas told police the suspect took a gold chain worth $1,100 and his wallet, containing $200 cash and a credit card. Ramirez-Cano said the same offender was responsible for two prior incidents reported to police.
* According to Officer James Beneke, Eva Cruz-Bautista and Alford Pineda Mondoza reported to police they were robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male inside a home on Fisher Alley. The victims said the suspect took a cell phone and a wallet containing $300.
* John Eric Wynn was reportedly struck on the head with a 2x4 piece of lumber while standing on the back porch of Baja's talking on a cell phone Aug. 23 around 1:15 a.m., according to Officer James Beneke's report. Wynn suffered a laceration to the right side of his forehead.
* In the early morning hours of Aug. 8, a victim reported she heard a noise outside the window of her house on St. Charles Place while lying in bed. Upon opening the blinds, she discovered a possible peeping tom had placed a ladder outside, according to Officer Troy Flud's report.
* Jennifer Capell reported to Officer Zachery Anderson Aug. 26 that someone had knocked on the door of her East Newnan Road home between 8:30-8:45 a.m. for the past three days and had left a dead chipmunk every time.
