Coweta authorities have arrested the person believed to be responsible for the shooting on Glover Circle on Newnan’s west side last week.

On April 17, a 17-year-old man was injured in a shooting at his home on the 100-block of Glover Circle. After an investigation, the suspect in the shooting, a 15-year-old male, has been arrested, said Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities will bring the suspect before a judge to decide whether he will be tried as an adult, Yarbrough said. The suspect may be facing charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, burglary, obstruction and possession of narcotics.

According to Yarbrough, the victim of the shooting, Christopher Chase Turner, has undergone multiple surgeries and still has a long recovery ahead of him.
