Shooting near Atlanta CVS leaves 1 dead, 1 wounded

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting outside a CVS Pharmacy that left one man dead and another man wounded.

Police said one of the men was shot outside the northwest Atlanta CVS around 6 p.m. They say he then walked into the business, where he collapsed and died. Authorities identified him as 28-year-old Michael Holmes of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://on-ajc.com/UL7d9h) that the wounded man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Police said in a statement that they believe the man who died and the suspected shooter were acquainted, and that the crime might have involved drugs.
