Boomers and seniors can get "Ideas for Life" at Saturday's Senior/Boomer Expo, sponsored by the Newnan-Coweta Council on Aging.

The event, the first sponsored by the council on aging, will be from 1-5 p.m. at the Coweta County Fairgrounds Conference Center on Pine Road south of Newnan.

Both the event and parking are free to the public.

Businesses that provide products and services for older adults will be featured. The Expo will also offer free health assessments. PAPP Clinic will be offering flu shots. No prescriptions are needed for the flu vaccines.

Attendees can obtain details on health care supplies, home health services, non-medical home and companion services, adult day care, residential communities and facilities, and health care facilities.

More than 40 businesses are participating.

Lizabeth Andrew, member of the Council on Aging's Board of Directors, emphasizes that the event is about more than just meeting health needs, as information on many travel and leisure opportunities will also be available.

Entertainment will be provided by local choirs.
