Three individuals were arrested after a Coweta County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit alerted on drugs in a vehicle.
Craig Partridge, 35; Kristie Jane Neal, 33; and Kevin Lamar Slaughter, 27, were all charged with possession of narcotics, according to Coweta County Jail records.
Deputies from the Coweta Sheriff's Office were called to the RaceTrac gas station on Bullsboro Drive at Amlajack Boulevard after an individual reported he saw drugs being sold late Friday.
After arriving, deputies began talking with Partridge, who denied any drug activity. However, authorities later found at Partridge's feet a small black container with what appeared to be two rocks of crystal meth inside, according to the deputies' incident report.
Partridge was put into a patrol car and deputies began talking with Slaughter, who owned the vehicle in which the three were driving. Slaughter refused to allow deputies to search the vehicle, so a search dog unit was brought in.
The K-9 unit alerted on the car and deputies began searching it, deputies reported. They found another rock of what appeared to be crystal meth in Neal's purse and elsewhere in the car a used pipe was found.
In another weekend drug arrest, Coweta deputies were notified by an off-duty DeKalb County deputy about a vehicle driving on Georgia Highway 34 that nearly hit several cars.
Deputies pulled over the vehicle driven by Erik Victor Krause, who was warned five times to remain in his vehicle after being stopped, according to information in the incident report. Upon approaching the vehicle, deputies noticed the strong odor of marijuana.
Krause failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. A search of his vehicle turned up two bags of what appeared to be marijuana, an electronic scale and a used glass pipe, deputies reported.
Krause, 26, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with intent, DUI and failure to maintain lane, according to jail records.
