Pollen Count on rise

This time of year, warm temperatures bring out high pollen counts.

According to the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic website this morning, today's pollen count is in the 'Extremely High' range at 2,067. Pollens present include oak, birch, sweetgum and pine trees.

The count is slightly down from yesterday's mark of 2,093, the highest count of 2013. By comparison, Friday's pollen count was only 5.

Today's forecast from the National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees. A light southeast wind will be 5 to 10 mph. Tonight, partly cloudy skies are expected with a low near 56.
