Police chief accused of providing liquor to youth

CHATTAHOOCHEE HILLS, Ga. (AP) — The Chattahoochee Hills police chief is accused of giving an underage woman alcohol and hosting sex parties with employees.

According to a report filed with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office and obtained by WGCL in Atlanta, the allegations are against Damon Jones.

The report claims that the city mayor and city manager have received anonymous letters alleging the 37-year-old chief gave a 19-year-old city firefighter alcohol and that Jones hosted sex parties with employees at his home.

City manager Carol Wolfe says the city is taking these allegations seriously. Wolfe says because there is not an official investigation, Jones remains on the job.

Jones says the allegations aren't true.
