Peachtree City Police arrest 2 for stealing mail, another at-large

Peachtree City Police have made two arrests for mail theft, and are seeking a third suspect.
On Friday about 11:36 a.m., two calls were received by the Fayette County Communication’s Center from the area of the Highgrove subdivision off of Redwine Road in south Fayette County, and south Peachtree City in the area of Groveland Drive of subjects stealing mail, according to Public Information Officer Lt. Mark Brown. The subjects were described as driving a dark gray Chevy Cobolt. 
A short time later, a Peachtree City Police officer located the vehicle traveling in the area of Hwy.  74 and Crosstown Road. Upon sight of the officer, the suspects sped into the parking lot of 611 South Hwy. 74, and crashed their vehicle into the wood line. The suspects fled on foot, but they were captured after a brief foot chase. 
Officers on Friday were searching for a possible third suspect who was in the vehicle. Anyone coming into contact with a suspicious person in the area of 611 Hwy 74 South is being asked to call 911 immediately. 
Two suspects, John Cannon, 24, and Brandi Cannon, 25, of Hampton, GA, are  being held in the Fayette County Jail on felony theft by taking charges. The vehicle that the suspects were driving was reported stolen out of Griffin. John Cannon was also found to have an active warrant out of Henry County, GA, on an outstanding armed robbery charge.
