Coweta School Bus Driver Arrested

A Coweta County School System bus driver on an East Coweta High School route was arrested last week, suspected of having a relationship with a student.

Timothy Allen Byrd, 32, was taken into custody on Sept. 23 and booked in the Coweta County Jail on Friday, Sept. 27, said Lt. Col. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

Byrd was charged with a felony for sexual assault against a person in custody.
