Newnan man injured in shooting

A Newnan man was injured in a shooting Wednesday night, and police are on the lookout for two suspects.

The man was shot in an apartment on Christian Drive around 9 p.m., according to information from officers in the incident report.

Officers with Newnan Police Department responded to find the victim lying against a wall with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and possibly his upper right underarm, and emergency responders arrived to treat the victim on scene. 

Officers spoke with witnesses and were able to determine there were two suspects, the officers reported. Witnesses told officers one suspect was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, and the other suspect was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans, the officers said.

Witnesses also said the suspects fled in a small silver or gray vehicle, the officers reported.
