Newnan Man Injured in Shooting

A man was shot two times in the stomach Saturday, according to authorities.

Around 4 a.m., Newnan Police officers responded to Ball Street in reference to hearing gunshots and a person being shot, according to a police report from Officer Donna Barnett. Officers found a 26-year-old male lying on the ground with two gunshot wounds, and was still breathing. He was transported to Piedmont Newnan Hospital to treat his wounds.
