An 11-month-old infant, taken by Coweta authorities after her mother was arrested, has tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine.
The infant's mother, Mary Michelle Henry, 27, is now facing additional charges of cruelty to children, according to Maj. Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office.
Henry was in the Coweta County Jail following her arrest on charges of violation of parole, suspended license and giving a false name, according to jail records.
She previously was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth back in 2010, records show.
The latest incident began Jan. 30 when deputies served a search warrant at 5228 Lower Fayetteville Road on an identity fraud case, Yarbrough said.
At the residence was Riley Millard Bozeman II, 38, and Courtney Wolfe. Bozeman was arrested for identity fraud, the major said, adding Wolfe was not charged.
During the arrest, Henry drove up with her infant in the back seat of the vehicle. She gave officers a false name, but sheriff's Investigator Victor McPhie recognized her, Yarbrough said, adding a check showed Henry also had a suspended license.
McPhie recognized Henry because he had arrested her and Bozeman in May 2010 for trafficking in meth -- at the same address. Henry was arrested that time again after driving up to the residence -- with more than two ounces of meth on her, according to published reports.
After the January arrest, Henry's child -- a baby girl -- was turned over to the Department of Family and Children's Services. As is routine, the child was taken for a checkup by a doctor.
"The child came back positive for several drugs, including meth and cocaine and a host of other ones," Yarbrough said.
Also in the recent January arrest, authorities discovered a stolen Ford 250 truck, which was turned over to the Newnan Police Department for further investigation as it was a city case, Yarbrough said.
The investigation into the stolen truck continues.
