Mostly sunny skies will greet Coweta County on Tuesday as a cold front with rain has pushed toward the Atlantic coast.
The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny conditions today with a high near 59 degrees. It will be breezy later today with winds out of the northwest from 5 to 15 mph, gusting to 20 mph.
Tonight, mostly clear skies with a low around 32 degrees. In fact, a Freeze Warning is in effect for Coweta County tonight from 2 a.m. through 11 a.m. Wednesday. Other counties in the Freeze Warning area include Carroll, Heard, Fayette, Meriwether, Spalding and Troup.
On Monday, the Newnan Times-Herald weather station recorded 1.02 inches of rainfall. It was the first measurable rainfall since recording .22 of an inch on March 5.
