Manufacturing company expands plant in Carrollton

CARROLLTON, Ga. (AP) – An auto parts manufacturer has announced plans to expand its facility in western Georgia. Gov. Nathan Deal Friday announced Decostar Industries will create at least 120 new jobs when it opens a new 64,000 square foot facility in Carrollton. Decostar is a subsidiary of Magna Exteriors and Interiors and manufactures auto parts for the company. The company's existing plant employs more than 500 workers, and Decostar plans to begin hiring for new positions in spring of 2013.
Officials say jobs in the automotive industry employ more than 20,000 people in the state. Carrollton is about 50 miles west of Atlanta in Carroll County. © 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
