The Coweta County Fire Department was called to 428 Doc Perry Road around 11:30am this morning, responding to a 911 call that a person had fallen into a well.

When Firefighters arrived at the scene, they found an injured male victim at the bottom of a 30 foot well. The victim was conscious and able to respond to firefighters. A specialized confined space protocol was initiated at the scene.

A tripod was set up over the opening of the well. Using ropes and a pulley to lower a rescuer into the well, the victim was lifted to the top of the well and placed on a backboard and transported to Atlanta Medical Center. The well was covered by Firefighters before leaving the scene.
