Jonesboro students now home from New York

JONESBORO, Ga. (AP) – Members of two Georgia high school mock trial teams who were stranded in New York City during Hurricane Sandy have made it home. Members of the Jonesboro High School and the Atlanta International School teams shared a bus and arrived back home around 9:30 a.m. Thursday. They were greeted by parents, who brought signs and flowers. One of the judges, Clayton County State Court Solicitor General Tasha Mosley, tells The Clayton News Daily that the school system approved chartering a bus for the return trip after the group could not find a flight due to the storm. The team had traveled to New York for an international competition over the weekend. They were stranded for much of this week.
