Free dental screening for kids Saturday

From Staff Reports

news@newnan.com

A free dental screening for kids will be offered Saturday in Newnan.

The LaGrange Chapter of Links Inc. will hold the free children's dental screening -- "Brush up Your Smile" -- from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Golden Corral restaurant at 605 Bullsboro Drive.

The dental program is for children ages 2 to 14. A mobile dental van will be manned by dentists Dr. Jordan A. Brunson, Dr. Charles Cheney, and Dr. Travis Kimathi.

In addition to the dental screenings, information will also be presented on childhood obesity.

Brunson, a native of Dallas, Texas, holds degrees from Morehouse College and The University of Michigan School of Dentistry.

Cheney of Complete Dental Arts, P.C. is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, MS.

Kimathi (Dr. K) attended Creighton University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for four years for undergraduate studies where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in chemistry. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center for his dental training. His dentistry focuses on working with children.

This program is directly related to the national program of The Links Inc.

The outreach is expanded from previous dental programs and is geared to reach more of the general population, according to a Links spokesperson.

For more information contact Links member Barbara Hutchinson at 404-395-2749.

It's for kids ... so what is the complaining about? The dentists are donating their time ... shouldn't cost you conservatives much. See you in church Sunday.

Many of us conservatives give thousands of dollars a year to children's needs because liberals can't seem to take proper care of their children and need so much free stuff. But we won't be giving anything for you to go to the dentist for free. Fend for yourself - children can't.
