Five arrested for drugs after police are called over argument

By John Winters

The Newnan Times-Herald

Five individuals were arrested over the weekend at a residence near downtown Newnan on cocaine charges.

Newnan Police Department officers responded to a call on Pinson Street about an argument going on inside the residence, according to information in a police incident report. The owner of the house, Tanaka Jones, 40, opened the door and allowed officers in.

Once inside, officers found several other individuals inside, and saw a clear plastic bag containing what looked to be cocaine on a bedroom floor, the report said.

The house was searched, but no other drugs were found. The report did not indicate how much cocaine was in the bag.

The five arrested, who all listed Newnan addresses, were: Jones, Ezra Darnell Neely, 57, Darin Cato, 40, Wallace E. McWilliams, 65, and Sylvia Rodela, 42, according to Coweta County Jail records.
